Club Fun Fly

Event Date: June 07, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM

Join us for a day of fun and flying at the Club Fun Fly event! Bring your favorite aircraft and enjoy a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and friendly competition. Whether you're a seasoned pilot or just starting out, there's something for everyone. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts and showcase your skills! Valid AMA membership required to fly.

All Electric Fun Fun Fly

Event Date: June 29, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM

Our “All Electric” event showcases only electric aircraft which continues to grow in popularity. The event is open to the public and provides a full-service concession during lunch hours. Come see a variety of battery-powered aircraft perform 3D maneuvers.

There will be an RC raffle, and a host of pilots will compete for contest prizes. AMA membership is required to fly.

Cliff Evans Memorial Scale Event

Event Date: July 13, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM

Commemorating one of our longtime members of the club, the Cliff Evans Memorial Scale Event features scale only aircraft powered by either gas or electric power. Aircraft compete for cash prizes in a number of categories. This event is open to the public with full concession services provided during lunch hours.

Bring the entire family to see some incredible aircraft, many of which are built from kits or plans.

AirFest 2025

Event Date: August 02, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM

This is our largest event of the year! This event was created to raise funds for local area Scouting and to date has raised over $60,000. The event includes a huge pilot and public raffle where you’ll find all kinds of great prizes.

During the event, take an opportunity to take a “Discovery Flight” at the side of one of our seasoned Instructors and stay for our noon air show featuring some of the top pilots in the region. Full concession services will be available.

Night Flight

Event Date: August 22, 2025
Time: 7:30PM to 9:30PM

Now in it’s third year, our Night Flight is something special. Plan to attend as dusk rolls in and see some illuminated aircraft take to the skies in complete darkness. All aircraft are fully illuminated and designed for night flight with programmable light sequencing in a variety of colors.

Remember to bring some bug spray. We guarantee that you’ll be glad you came.

Swap Meet

Event Date: September 06, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM

If you’re looking for some great deals on RC aircraft, equipment and power sources, this is the place to be. Open to both the public and vendors, the event participants can sell and/or fly all day with a $5.00 registration fee. Sellers should get there early to mark their spot.

Pattern Event

Event Date: September 14, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 4:00PM

The National Society of Radio Controlled Aerobatics (NSRCA) organizes precision aerobatic competitions across the United States for RC aircraft enthusiasts. These contests focus on flying specific sequences of aerobatic maneuvers with accuracy, smoothness, and consistency, as judged by experienced evaluators. Pilots compete in various skill levels, from entry-level Sportsman to the expert-level FAI class, allowing a progressive challenge for all participants. NSRCA events promote skill development, sportsmanship, and community among aerobatic RC pilots.

The airfield is closed to general flying during this event.

FrankenPlane Event

Event Date: September 21, 2025
Time: 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Have you ever wondered what pilots do with surviving parts after a crash. Maybe it’s a wing, a fuselage, or tail section. Nearing the end of the season, pilots are encouraged to build a new plane from these components as Dr. Frankenstein did back in the day.

Club members get together to make use of these parts and compete for the title of “Best Monster” by flying the FrankenPlane to accomplish a successful take-off, full circle around the field, then land without incident to pass the test. Pilots get three attempts to complete the challenge to qualify for the title.

Builder's Challenge

Event Date: September 21, 2025
Time: 10:00AM to 12:00PM

The builder’s Challenge event was designed to showcase members building capabilities using a limited set of materials. All aircraft must be constructed from plans (or the pilots own design) using foam core, plywood for motor attachment and wire for landing gear. Other materials such as plastics are allowed in limited amounts.

Pilots compete by accomplishing a successful take-off, full circle around the field, then land without incident to pass the test. Pilots get three attempts to complete the challenge to qualify for the title.

Holiday Party

Event Date: December 07, 2025
Time: 6:00PM to 9:00PM

Our Holiday Party is open to members and their guests and include a night of comradery, good food, and a photo recap of the last season. During the evening, you’ll have an opportunity to be introduced to newly elected board members and hear about the club’s plans for the future.

The event is scheduled early enough in the season to avoid other holiday party conflicts, so we hope that you will join us. Reservations and payment is requested in advance to hold your seat.
